    Default Army Recruiter plaque

I wanted to share some finished pics of an Army Recruiter plaque. Special thanks to John Paluck with Carvemore for creating the pattern on such short notice.

The piece was carved in clear pine and finish with dark walnut stain and two coats of semi gloss polycrylic. The blue tint is from the afternoon light coming in from a wall of windows on the left of where the photo was take. They added an engraved brass plate in the middle before presenting it to the Captain.

WOW! That turned out great! Super job, both of you (HighTechOkie and John Paluck!).

Curious as to how you made the plaque sit on top of the base plate...

I just created a spine and glued the badge to it.
