    i drew a design in autocad and wanted to know if anyone has imported this kind of file?

    If you export it to an adobe illustrator 8.0 or lower file (*.ai), you can use ai2mpc to convert your files to CW vector objects. Search the forum for "ai2mpc" and you find lots of threads about it.

    Default thers a free

    converter out there called anydwgtojpeg or something to that effect that will convert the dwg file to a graphic file you can use. maybe its just called anydwg?????

    Default Add on questions

    Is the initial cad design in 3d?
    Will the conversion to an .ai file preserve the 3d details?

    Wouldn't the STL importer program do the same?

    For those of us who can't yet afford the importer, is this a cheaper alternative?

    I asked CarveWright pre-sales support about that in mid-December, and they told me they expected to release a .dfx importer this month.
