Default Lighted Log cabin switch plate finished

I decided I didn't want to wait for the yellow plexi I ordered so I just used the clear I had on hand, sanded both sides of it.

I also made some grills and glued them on top of the plexi. Here it is with the lights off.

I sprayed a light coat of yellow paint on the back side of the plexi. Here it is installed in my hallway (it's a really narrow hallway, hard to get a decent photo)

The LED backplate is only on with the switch in the off position.

    What do you think?
    Thanks ~Mike

Really nice! Looks like a 50.00 light switch to me.

Are plans being sold for it yet? I don't see it on the Mike's Patterns area.

Thanks Doug, Gordon, Seabass and eveyone else who made such nice comments on this project.

I made two scans of the cabin, one with the door and window holes cut threw (for the back lighting) and then again after I got the plexi and grills in. Uploaded them to the Pattern Depot Monday evening, should be listed in the next day or two, named Cover Cabin.

Thank you for the interest and the nice comments. ~Mike

    Thanks Michael.

This one was tougher for me than the others, trying to utilize those LED back plates. I have several more rooms to go and a few more LED panels so I will be trying to come up with some more ideas to use them.

    Thanks again. ~Mike

Does your switch plate have a recessed back for fitting over switch bracket? If so, do you do it on the CW or a regular router table? How do I locate your pattern in the depot?

    Thanks,
    Rocky
