Thread: Rotate figure

  1. #1

    Default Rotate figure

I've created a cutout that I need to rotate to fit on a differntly sized board. The standard rotate menu items are greyed out. Why would this be and how can I fix this?

I'm sure it's some dumb little thing I am overlooking.

    Thanks

Delete the cut Path then rotate and then outline again and assign a cut path..

I manually outlined a picture of the state of PA once and needed a 90 degree version and had to manually outline the 90 degree version.

    SO some things don't rotate....

I was looking at some Free Font sites and saw one with countries and state wingdings.... That could be useful.

I've tried turning off the cut path first; its a no go.

I more or less traced an image too... it is a rather complex outline. I don't really feel like doing the whole thing from another angle.

Is that the only option? Doesn't really make a much sense.

flip your image first the make your new outline path from that.

I bet you are going to need to hand trace the rotated image again....

    Been there done that...

You can not rotate a vectored path. Your only option is to redraw it the way it needs to be positioned on the new board. The rotate tools only work with patterns.

It would be nice if you could rotate the board and paste but it keeps the same board position..
