Default Disappointed that parts are not under warranty

I just got my Carvewright and started having problems with the QC. The flanges which the release tool pushes against, started chipping with the first bit change. The release tool has also become geeded up. The QC is just hard to use.

When calling support I found that the QC is not covered in warranty. My first thought is that part must go out on a regular basis.

Any one else have trouble with this???

Do a search with "QC" using the quotes and you will find tons of threads.

I will second the vote for reading the QC bible. If you take care of the QC and bit adapters properly you will get many, many hours from your QC. If you damaged the plastic lip around the QC then you were applying way to much force. It is vitally important with any type of tapered chuck to keep the mating surfaces clean.
