OK, I finally built myself a new PC and I want to move the software to the new machine. Can I just uninstall from the first and reinstall in the second or is there a way to remove the license and...
Thanks to all who responded! I really love the help and advice you can get here

I know I saw a couple people here who were charging to convert images to GOOD quality ptn files for import to the CarveWright software. I've been searching the forums but can't find the posts
If...
I was perusing the patterns for sale on the main page and I found this . . .
As a former employee of Hughes/McDonnell Douglas/Boeing in the Flight Test department for 5 years on the Apache...
Wow, those are both fantastic - what kind of carve time was it? Looks like a lot of material gone
Very Nice! Not something I would have thought of doing but gives me some ideas
Like you, I love matching grain - always cut my drawers in sequence so the grain runs across the piece. It's the...
That's per panel - so 5 hours for both and that doesn't count the drawer fronts and sides either
Thanks Jpaluck and Badger - I think one of these will do - Hopefully I can return the favor somehow

Would anyone be interested in helping me get this cleaned up enough to carve? My mother in law is becoming the High Priestess and I want to make a jewelry box with this carved on the top
This is...
But I couldn't have made it without the CarveWright
Before WWII, my father worked for Southern Pacific Railroad. After he passed away I got his railroad watch - did a bit of research and also had...
Wow! Thanks to all of you for the comments (gonna print them out for my wife who's last words on the CarveWright were "It cost HOW MUCH?!?") Your comments and the $300 dollars I got for the cabinet...
Take something simple and dress it right up - Made from walnut and maple
Hey Beach - that's exactly what I did - taped a piece if 1/8th MDF to the stock and viola! Worked fine
OK, I see that, Thanks! - I was going by the software, which tells me the minimum thickness I could carve was .25 - Why would the software let you design something you can't carve?
OK
Searched forums
read manual
cleaned sensors
tested sensors
all sensors test fine
I put a board in, it measures width (right on the money) but when it measures length, board just comes...
Thanks for the reply Tim
I was going to carve this on a 28"x10" board and trim it to fit afterwards - That should be enough for the rollers to get hold of shouldn't it . . . ?
Russ
. . . but searching the forum led me to this post
Can anyone turn the attached graphics into something that will carve reasonably well?
My mother in law is becoming the High Priestess for the...
If you had it "centered on" one axis in the original, it takes that with it - just unselect it and you will be able to move it again
Russ
And will it work? I'm building a walnut curio cabinet and I would like to put this in where you would normally put a pane of glass. Any advice or thoughts any of you pro's would like to offer?

Nice site!
I'm not so sure, though, about the wisdom or legality of offering the Medal of Honor for carving. You might want to check into that
Yea, I noticed both of those as well - Hands down, the CarveWright is king of it's field, but I suspect this new machine may not be the first to try to jump on the bandwagon
From a self centered...
Looks like our hobby is quite popular - and competition is good for the soul, right?

If I understand it correctly
98:32. - This is the actual time spent carving
But servoing time 102:45 - This is the time the bit is spinning, carving or not
total power on is 172:48. -...
Ever since I was 10 and watched Neil Armstrong step on the moon I have been fascinated with the space program. Something I always wanted was a copy of the plaque that went out on Pioneer 10. Now,...
