Not sure if this has been mentioned but when this happened to me it was a stuck roller. You can check your sensors on the unit display. The second time it happened it was a bad power supply.

Maybe a little clean out and fresh lithium grease.... Cold weather makes all machinery run rough..... I usually make sure the shop is at least 55 degrees and then blow just a little space heater on...

If you got alot of hours on your machine its not a bad idea "in my opinion" to remove the whole cut motor and clean the whole thing out. Dust gets in there and will build up. Also for a cut motor...

Ya i think centerline would be good also. Yes you can only cut 1/2 inch at the thinnest. In the past for thinner pieces i would carve 1/2 inch, place the carving face down on the drum sander and skim...
