While reading through this thread, while looking for a reason why they have the cut motor designed to suck air from in front of the rear roller, then blow some of it back into the machine...
I...
it doesn't make a difference which way you plug in the switch... it opens or closes the circuit
Size is here:

Also make sure it isn't in between the brass roller and the machine... That is where mine was.
I seem...
I do a lot of particle board routing for smoke shop shelving and it doesn't make chips... it makes dust... So I used to have to clean out the shop vac twice for every 6' board.
My DC is a home...
I had the same problem before. Being a newbie (I bought a used machine.) I didn't know all the things to look for until I finally blew up the x gears (from it jerking back and forth.) while trying...
This is like talking to a wall.
But not the "designer update"... T
hat is what I'm talking about...
Why would I buy it knowing that I will end up eating the cost of it...
And then having to...
I not selling it yet... But it's like throwing money out the window... The designer license should be tied to the machine... That way you don't lose any money. My point is...what am I going to do...
Well that will really suck... I get stuck with the software I can't use, eating the $200 for the software, and then having to drop the price of the CW by $200 so they can buy the software... Wishing...
I read this whole thread and I have a question that no one asked...
On the software ordering page it says:
"All software is non-refundable and non-transferable."
So what happens when I go to sell...
resize error isn't an error in my case, it is because I got tired of it measuring the board a hair too small. I have the sled at 14 inches and depending on the temp or placement of the sled, it would...
finally got it working... but I had to tell it to "drill" a hole at the other end of the sled. The first time I got it to "work" it stopped at the very end of the board so one roller was sitting on...
redid it in designer with the grooves starting from the right 5 inches now it jumps about 12 inches before starting... but it is still trying to start on the right hand side of the sled... SO.... not...
well that is the problem... I reversed it in designer...
well changed the program so the grid snap was starting at edge, from the left added 4 1/2 for my end stops, started the first groove a 5 inches then added 38 more at 1 1/2 saved it.
So switched...
k I'll try it. Thanks
The sled is setup to be able to change the board without letting up the rollers. I have 2 - 9 foot x 3 1/2 x 3/4 oak base with a 3/4 x 1/2 sacrificial pine runners on top with a 2x6 pine board...
I'm using the same sled, the same size board, same program, I'm getting tired of having it go to the one end then, 7 foot one way, 7 foot another way, 7 foot back to start carving. Then ask for the...
Was doing 11 inch wide chipboard... 5/32 bit 3/16 deep with 1/8 passes... over heated and broke the bit.
Also I run a 22 inch fan on the back side it seems to keep the flex cable cool and blows...
Mine just cracked too... straight across the front of the truck starting just below the sensor and on the opposite side...
Personally... I think's it from the feed rates on the bits... using a...
No I don't have a dust collector on it yet. I vacuum (made a small tube adaptor for the vacuum to get in the small spaces) and then blow it out after every board. Still had the problem.
The fix...
Kept getting clear board sensor, then I get to a point where it stopped working all together.
I'm doing slots in chipboard shelves so it makes a lot of fine dust.
So I popped the top cover off and...
sorry for the delay...
Had to get a new hard drive and reload the software on my shop laptop...
I selected no for stay under rollers and it carved it. So it is working.
Will say one thing it does...
k I'll try that when I get there my shop is 30 mins away. Had a problem with my laptop so I'm home fixing it.
in that case shouldn't it be 74 inches? 81-7
After fixing the o ring still not measuring right. And while I was doing another measurement, it started bucking back and forth and broke a drive gear tooth before I could get to it and stop the...
