Thanks. Going to give it a good deep clean and lube and try again.
Maddeningly, I can't find the scale in my workshop I bought just for this purpose. I'll figure something out and post the results tomorrow.
I will do that and report back. I appreciate your input!
I haven't checked the head pressure in a long time. It's never been an issue and I just turn the crank until It clicks 3 times.
I could check it. Yes, it seems to be touching the slap plate and...
I have made small signs in 3/4 inch oak with peoples names on it for years. (One name per sign.) I am doing my annual batch and am on the last one. For some reason, the name is not carving nearly as...
I think it started carving deeper, but kind of irregularly. The board is perfect. Not warped, quite square, so it shouldn't be that.
You can see on this picture, that it did it on the S below...
No, it did the rest of the sign fine, except for one letter in a different part of the sign. The part in the photo, is the first to carve. I just checked the bit and everything is tight. I purposely...
83784I wonder why the E and the R came out wonky.
Thanks for the help. I'm carving now.
Aha! By god I forgot about that!
Great! Thanks for being willing to look at it! Here it is.
I am setting up a long board for a sign. It is 59.75" long by 7.75' wide. I have added 7 inches and my design keeps all the words on the board. When I do the startup in my machine, everything...
Thanks. Maybe a little sharpie note on the side of something.
Not quite done, but close. Thanks again for the help!
I guess that firmware update for the cut motor did the trick. I just did a pretty big project and had no problems at all. Thanks for all the help!
Just wondering. I put in a new cut motor with...
Just wanted to confirm that the part that is not on the board is just ignored. I was able to cut out the top with the bottom half off the board and then do the same with the bottom to make a two...
Great! Thanks! If I just place it on a board and stretch it out to size am I correct that the machine will just ignore the part that isn't on the board? See what I mean by the attached pic.

I upgraded to 1.188 and applied the cut motor firmware update. I did a small job and it did not give me a check cut motor message at the beginning. Maybe that fixed it! :)
I've been trying to figure this out on my own, but I'm not getting it. How do I make a pattern from the mpc attached?
I keep getting a message that this was made with a newer version of the software and it won't open. I updated to 1.188 and it still won't work. Sorry to be so needy lately. I sure appreciate the...
Interesting. Hopefully this addresses the issue. I'll be doing this today. http://www.carvewright.com/firmware-update/
I'm looking for a top and bottom for a big sign I'm going to make. I would like it to have a cut out like the top and bottom of the pattern attached, but I would like it rotated so that I could cut...
I did flash the card as part of the troubleshooting. What is the Check Cut Motor fix?
It's a brand new cut motor. Put it in as a part of troubleshooting my original problem.
