How do I move the patterns I have purchased and the patterns I created over to the new computer. Also, what folders should I put them in?
I switched computers, and want to move the CW software to my new computer. I cannot find my CD. I'm using V 1.188, Build 59. Can I download this directly from CW, or do I need to get a new CD?
What do you mean?
Got it...Thanks.
I am giving my Carvewright machine to my son-in-law. How do I transfer the license and patterns I have purchased to him?
Any idea of the step over when quality is "optimal"?
Thank you for the information.
Right, I should have mentioned that this if for raster carving with the 1/16" carving bit.
Just a quick question..... how far does the board move during each pass of the carving bit? I am using 1.188 firmware.
Thanks, Toolstoday.com had exactly what I wanted... actually a little more. They offer the bits with hard TiN coatings.
Yes, they do have what I was looking for. Do you know if cw-parts.com is still in business? Their website shows a 1/16 ball nose bit with four flutes, for smoother cuts.
Not having any luck looking for 1/8" straight cnc cutting bits (with a 1" cutting depth) that match the one I got with my CW. Any suggestions for a source?
Looked at mscdirect's website, and can't seem to find the 1/8" straight bit for cutting out a path. Any idea who might carry these?
That looks like what I have, but mine (I got a long time ago) are not as thick.
I guess I'm talking about bit stops. They are round pieces with a 1/4" hole and a set screw to lock it onto the actual bits.
I use the Rock Chuck. Where can I find the 1/4" diameter bits only (no shank pressed on) for my machine? Also, I will need the collars with set screw for the bits.
Also, I have seen there is a...
I have a piece sketched out in Solidworks that I would like to "import" somehow into a project file for a cutout. Does anyone know if this can be done?
I should have been more specific. I wanted to measure an existing plan, but your suggestion worked just fine. Thanks!
I have several carvings on one piece of wood. Is there a way to measure a distance directly without using gridlines?
I am moving to a new PC with windows 10. I installed CW from my CD. It installed V1.131. When I tried to update to the latest free version -1.188, it crashed with the error message you see. How do...
The rails are about 5/8" wide. I did check the board visually looking down the board. I attach the rails with carpet tape, but have always done this. I put a strip of tape at each end of the board...
I wanted to pass this along. I made two sets of coasters with team logos. I made these out of shorter material, so I used rails on the sides to meet the 7 inch rule.
The first set was made from...
Thanks for the explanation. BTW, what looked like a remnant of the C from CYCLONES was actually some pesky remaining pixels that I didn't catch in the image when I worked on it. They really popped...
That worked. Thanks!
Why was that necessary for the small circle? I guess I don't understand what clip carving exclusive does.
Another question. When I apply a medium draft to the logo, it...
I carved the Iowa State coasters per the attached project "Iowa State Coaster 2". It worked just fine. So I decided to make it a little bit more interesting by putting a slightly raised rim around...
