Looking good!!!
You will love Zbrush. Yeah the interface and the way things get done is a whole new learning curve but since you have 3d experience it will go much faster. Check out...
Here is a star
Playing around with some rail sweeps. Had to upload Mpc....ptn size was too big
Hey Eddie
They come right back...lol..think if you take a break from them easier to learn faster
Thanks Oscarl
I could have made this will pretty much with all 2 rail sweeps in Moi or Aspire but decided to shake the dust off the quad modeling
Playing around brushing back up on quads
Hey Floyd,
That would be a no on a break from fishing...just finished 6 dozen and headed to Thermop this weekend. I made those blanks a while back and sold quite a few just been lazy about putting...
I recently had a bunch of requests for my sign blanks. I finally got them uploaded to my store. I almost forgot how to add new stuff...lol ..it been so long.
Here is the link if anyone is...
Oscarl,
Nice direction on the hair...I usually just sculpt..zbrush and max both have particle systems for rendering but I never looked into converting...nice tip
Nice start Oscarl,
Looking at your screen shot looks tools between blender and Max are close enough. I assume you have a reference image in there somewhere. Thing to keep in mind your model does...
Started playing around with a plane to create some wall art. Pretty simple to do. I had to shrink the size to get the .ptn to upload so just increase size and mirror away
Hi Michael,
Long time..yeah I guess your right...be a cool top...lol...would have to come up with something equally as ornate for the sides. I wasn't thinking box top just playing around mirroring...

Been playing around with quads today to brush up since hadn't made anything in quite a while...man modeling is addicting. Changed out the center playing around..very simple low poly model model.
Check out some this guy's videos...not blender but concepts the same

Does blender have a "cut" tool?
In 3ds Max...I put the image of the scroll or leaf I want to model on an image and lock/freeze the plane...then trace over it with the spline tool for the outline...
A cartoony version of a fishing lure more or less. Was to make with the angles fading back and to the left. A pretty simple model...the angles was the only thing that took a bit
I haven't made anything in a long time. Decided to blow dust off the 3d programs. Was going to make this with quads but it lent itself more towards nurbs and Booleans are way easier with nurbs. Used...

I bought that video a while back. I use 3ds max but the principles will be the same
Meeting at your place Floyd? You buying the beers?
Nice Job Dan! I think we used the same Otter with different steps. I have not made anything in so long I had to remember how to do it. I used Blender and zbrush
Here is one from a 3d model I made way and used blender bas relief to make 2.5d. I couldn't find the actual model but here if depth map...remove background and sculpt the steeping smooth and your good
Good Job Oscar!!
Stay with quads once you master them you can create anything for cnc. You right the interface is key
