Since yesterday I've kept my eye out for anything that folks have discovered, and have made a few changes. They are all rolled up into a new version. Anyone who has purchased EZ Carve can just download / install and go. There is no need to reregister anything, or reenter any registration information.

Our policy is to never charge for updates or new versions. I think it is unfair when companies release a better version and charge their users for it. For example, EZ Fuse has been on the market for 4 years and we've never charge for updates (or ever will). That simply punishes those who have bought your product. We also listen and take all input, suggestions and issues seriously and into account.

Version 1.02 Changes
================

*Image size*
Increased from 1024x768 to 2000x2000 (this will likely get increased more in the future after further testing).

*Carve Button*
Sometimes locks up the program or bombs it. This was due to the carve function trundelling through other parts of the program and "carving it". This has been found, fixed and corrected.

*Help Button*
The help button has had the text HELP put on the bottom of it.

*Email Address*
I put the email address into the program when you press help.

*Various*
Little things here & there I saw and changed such as bits of text that were grammatical violations.

An email will go out to all registered folks letting them know. And if you had that carve button misbehave, it's fixed!

Thanks!
Andy

When I upgraded my Symantics Internet software and installed it I started to have problems with IE7. A Symantacis guy in India played with my computer and said that it was not the protection program, check with the computer vendor. IE7 was hanging up and could not be shut down and links to he Internet from other programs did the same. I saw something on the MS web site about simplifying IE. Symantics had added another tool bar. I removed all but the Gogol's tool bar (the only one I really use) and the problem was solved. So I am reluctant to add more tool bars and if anyone else has a similar problem, try eliminating tool bars.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Downloaded ez-carve demo. I Don't quite understand the concept anyone have a simple explaination on how to use it. Looks like it will do a good job if I ever get it figured out.

I'm putting a "current version" bit of text on the website & also in the program. I'll post when the next version is ready ( a huge thank you to all who have sent ideas etc....) and an email will go out to all registered folks. Eventually I'll make it so the program tells you when a new version is available.

Hi Jim,

The program is made for doing those troublesome heighfields. Here is a quick way to see what it does.

1) Run the program.
2) Click the "Help" button (the blue circle with a question mark, right hand side)
3) Chose the [Pieces] button
4) Select a carve pattern (5th button from the left on the bottom)
5) Click a black part of the pattern on the top of the image.
6) Click the first button on the left bottom (Select Region)
7) Click the CarveIt button (6th from the right on the bottom)
8) Repeat Steps 5,6 & 7 for the rest of that filligree pattern.

9) Now do the same thing with the white area, it will take some time to apply the carve, be patient.

10) Load your CarveWright Designer.
11) In EZ Carve, Click the [Copy to clipboard] (4th from top, right hand side)
12) In Designer, chose File->Import image.
13) Click the "From Clipboard" button.
14) Follow your normal routine for importing an image.

You can always PM me or send me an email to sales@technicow.com

Hope that long winded "short" walkthrough helps!

Andy
