View Full Version : problem downloading new upgrade

Having trouble upgrading. My download screen tells me that is canceled! But it does save some of it cause it shows me the .exe but when I try to run or open it it get and invalid application. Any ideas?

Sounds like your connection is timing out, could be something with your ISP, or CW's server. Have you tried downloading it with Internet Explorer? From my own personal experience with my own website I have 100x more problems with folks using FireFox than anything else. I can test with the same OS same version of FF and things work great for me and 99.99% of folks, there is always a few installs of FF that are flaky.

I tried using explorer and still no luck. For some reason my security wont let in download. I tried turing everthing off but still not able too. I wonder if you wouldn't mind sending me the exe to try it that way?

Jason,

I agree with Jeff it sounds like you are not getting the program fully downloaded. If I remember the file is somewhere around 6?mb. What is the size of the file you downloaded?

It only downloads enough for the shortcut to be displayed.

Let me ask you something first are you by any chance blocking cookies for their site?

In Internet Explorer go to tools/Internet options/privacy/sites scroll down to carvewrigt.com and make sure they are not being blocked.

I would email you the program but it is to large for the mailbox.

I was just giving it a try again with no luck, then just for a test I tried to download the Mac version. Came in without an issue. I suspect there is something on the other end that is happening.

Tried the link, but it still tells me "canceled ". Its odd that I can download other stuff from the site just not the .exe.

It could be your anti virus stopping you download try turning it off

Wanted to say "thanks" for all the help. I had to download it at work and bring it home. When I have some more free time I will have to take a look at all my security settings and see what has been changed since my last download. So thanks again everybody.
