Adding an option to evenly space characters is a good idea, and we should be able to fit this into the schedule, assuming that it's straightforward to compute within the font engine we use.

Other spacing or kerning pair adjustments are not currently supported by the font engine we use. However, we plan to greatly improve our import capability to offer more options than just rastering imported features.
